LUMS Scholarships & Financial Aid 2026: NOP and Beyond
LUMS tuition frequently crosses 1.2 to 1.5 Million PKR annually. Without the National Outreach Programme (NOP) or financial aid, it is impossible for middle-class students.
1. The National Outreach Programme (NOP)
The NOP is the most prestigious full-ride scholarship in Pakistan. Handpicked from matriculation/FSc results globally across rural and urban Pakistan, NOP scholars receive 100% tuition, free hostel boarding, and travel stipends. However, you must apply for NOP during your first year of FSc/A-Levels, not after you graduate intermediate.
2. Need-Based Financial Aid
If you miss the NOP, you can apply for regular Need-Based Aid during the admission process. LUMS has a massive endowment fund. If your father's business documents and tax returns prove you can only afford 20% of the fee, LUMS will frequently cover the remaining 80%. Do not fake financial documents; the LUMS financial auditing committee is extremely rigorous.
3. Merit Scholarships
LUMS automatically flags the top applicants during the admission cycle for 100%, 50%, or 25% early merit waivers based purely on phenomenal SAT/A-Level academic records. Once enrolled, placing on the Dean’s Honor List (usually requiring a towering 3.8+ GPA) grants further monetary awards.
