VU is already structurally the cheapest university in Pakistan, but they still provide safety nets.
1. Need-Based Scholarships
VU operates a very straightforward financial aid portal directly inside the VULMS. You file your utility bills and father's CNIC/income proofs directly through the web portal. If approved, the system automatically waives your voucher fee generation for the upcoming semester.
2. Laptop Schemes (PM/HEC)
Because VU is heavily digital, VU students are heavily prioritized in federal laptop distribution schemes (like the PM Youth Laptop Scheme). You must ensure your CGPA is consistently above a 3.0 to be eligible for the laptop merit list deployed down by the federal government.
3. Merit-Based Fee Vouchers
VU automatically generates "Zero-Fee" or "Half-Fee" vouchers for the top performers across the entire global VU network. However, because you are competing against literally tens of thousands of remote students simultaneously, landing in the mathematical top 1% requires a near-robotic 3.95+ CGPA.
