Jobs After BBA/MBA in Pakistan: Career Paths & Salaries
The BBA and MBA markets in Pakistan are massively saturated. A generic business degree guarantees nothing. You must hyper-specialize immediately.
1. Supply Chain & Procurement
Given Pakistan's massive dependency on textile exports and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Supply Chain Management is incredibly lucrative. Companies desperately need people who can manage import/export logistics, LC (Letter of Credit) clearances, and warehouse optimization. It is highly stressful but pays premiums (starting frequently around 80k-100k PKR for top grads).
2. Data/Business Analytics
Traditional HR and Marketing roles are low-paying (often starting at 40k-50k PKR) because supply outstrips demand entirely. However, if you combine your BBA with hard data skills (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau), you become a Business Analyst. Corporations are laying off generic managers but aggressively hiring people who can mathematically prove marketing ROI through data dashboards.
3. Management Trainee Programs (MTO)
The ultimate prize for an MBA graduate in Pakistan is landing an MTO position at Engro, Unilever, Jazz, or British American Tobacco. These are grueling 1-2 year rotational programs that fast-track you into middle management. The competition is brutal (frequently 10,000+ applicants for 20 spots), relying heavily on gamified logical reasoning tests.
