IIUI Merit Calculation Guide 2026: Aggregate Formula
The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) maintains a unique structure combining modern sciences with Islamic jurisprudence.
1. The Faculty-Specific Merit Formulas
IIUI does not use a single blanket formula.
- For Engineering/CS: It is usually roughly 40% FSc and 60% IIUI Admission Test (or NTS NAT).
- For Islamic Studies (Usuluddin) / Arabic: Merit heavily leans on FSc/FA, but they mandate a specific Arabic/Islamic knowledge entry test or interview to filter candidates.
2. The Separate Campus Dynamics
IIUI strictly segregates male and female campuses (different faculty, different admin blocks). Consequently, the closing merit for a BS CS on the Female Campus frequently differs from the Male Campus due to varying applicant volumes. Do not analyze last year's male merit list if you are applying for the female campus.
3. The Entry Test Difficulty
The IIUI entry test for tech subjects is generally considered slightly easier than the NUST NET or FAST NU test, leaning heavily on straightforward textbook derivations rather than complex logic puzzles. Securing a 70%+ score on the internal test almost guarantees admission into standard BS programs.
