Top 5 Mistakes Pre-Engineering Students Make Applying to COMSATS Lahore
The admission process to COMSATS Lahore is straightforward, but minor mistakes can instantly disqualify you from high-merit fields like Computer Science.
1. Only Applying Once to NTS NAT
COMSATS allows you to submit your highest valid NTS NAT score. Many students take the test once, score a 65, and stop. You should take the NTS NAT at least 3 times before the Fall admissions deadline to aggressively push your score into the 80s.
2. Entering the Wrong Preference Order
The portal asks you to rank your preferences (e.g., 1. BS SE, 2. BS CS, 3. BS AI). If you put BS AI as your first preference, the system will lock you into it if you meet the merit, even if you also met the merit for BS SE. Always put your true dream degree as Preference 1.
3. Ignoring the Dual Campus Option
You can apply to both COMSATS Lahore and COMSATS Islamabad using the same test. Do not restrict yourself to Lahore if you are willing to relocate for a prestigious degree.
4. Missing the Fee Challan Deadline
Your application is completely ignored by the merit algorithm until the processing fee challan is paid and updated in the CUOnline admissions portal portal.
