To apply for undergraduate admission at UMT, students must meet the minimum percentage criteria in Intermediate exams (usually 50% to 60% depending on engineering, computer science, or business disciplines). Additionally, passing the required entrance tests (Designated Engineering Entry Test / testing-agency result accepted by UMT, UMT Entrance Test; interview is qualifying where required but has no published percentage weight, UMT Entrance Test + HEC Law Admission Test (LAT) qualifying + interview) is mandatory.
For most programs: Merit = (Matric × 0.25) + (HSSC × 0.75). Engineering programs may include entry test with 30% weightage.
