The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) merit calculator is designed to help prospective students compute their aggregate score for undergraduate admissions. Admissions at PIEAS are based on a weighted combination of your past academic scores and entry test performance.
The default aggregate formula for PIEAS admissions is:
To apply for undergraduate admission at PIEAS, students must meet the minimum percentage criteria in Intermediate exams (usually 50% to 60% depending on engineering, computer science, or business disciplines). Additionally, passing the required entrance tests (PIEAS Entry Test) is mandatory.
PIEAS entry test is considered one of the toughest in Pakistan. It includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving.
PIEAS current formula: Aggregate = (SSC % × 0.15) + (HSSC Part-I % × 0.25) + (PIEAS Test PERCENTILE Score × 0.60). IMPORTANT: Use the PERCENTILE score as reported by PIEAS, NOT raw test marks percentage.
