The NED University of Engineering and Technology (NED) merit calculator is designed to help prospective students compute their aggregate score for undergraduate admissions. Admissions at NED are based on a weighted combination of your past academic scores and entry test performance.

To apply for undergraduate admission at NED, students must meet the minimum percentage criteria in Intermediate exams (usually 50% to 60% depending on engineering, computer science, or business disciplines). Additionally, passing the required entrance tests (NED Entry Test) is mandatory.
NED Merit = (HSC Part-I marks × 0.40) + (NED Entry Test × 0.60). CRITICAL: No Matric/SSC component at all. Minimum 60% in HSC required (55% for some disciplines). Hafiz-e-Quran get 1.82% additional HSC marks.
NED entry test includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English. For Architecture, an additional aptitude test is required.
Both are excellent. NED has historical significance and strong industry links in Sindh. NUST has more modern facilities and national reach. Choice depends on location preference and program.
