How to Calculate KEMU Admission Aggregate

The King Edward Medical University (KEMU) merit calculator is designed to help prospective students compute their aggregate score for undergraduate admissions. Admissions at KEMU are based on a weighted combination of your past academic scores and entry test performance.

Step-by-Step Calculation Guide:

1. Select your target Program: Choose your desired department or program from the dropdown list. If your program uses a custom formula, the calculator will automatically load the specific weightages.
2. Matric / SSC Marks: Enter your obtained and total marks from Matriculation or O-Levels equivalent. The calculator applies the standard Matric weightage (10%).
3. Intermediate / HSSC Marks: Input your FSc / ICS / A-Level equivalent marks. The calculator applies the Intermediate weightage (40%).
4. Entry Test Marks: Enter your score in MDCAT. The calculator automatically applies the entry test weightage (50%).

To apply for undergraduate admission at KEMU, students must meet the minimum percentage criteria in Intermediate exams (usually 50% to 60% depending on engineering, computer science, or business disciplines). Additionally, passing the required entrance tests (MDCAT) is mandatory.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Entering your MDCAT score as a percentage when the calculator expects raw marks (or vice-versa) — double-check whether your total is out of 200 before submitting.
• Forgetting to tick the Hafiz-e-Quran checkbox if it applies to you — it's worth +2% at KEMU, and skipping it understates your real aggregate.
• Assuming any aggregate qualifies for any program — each program has its own minimum cutoff (e.g., MBBS requires 90%), and falling short even by 0.1% disqualifies the application.
