Aggregate = (Matric% × 0.10) + (FSc% × 0.40) + ((MDCAT/210) × 100 × 0.50)
Free online MDCAT aggregate calculator using the official PMDC/HEC formula for Pakistani medical college admissions.
The official PMDC/HEC formula for MBBS/BDS aggregate is: Matric (10%) + FSc Pre-Medical (40%) + MDCAT Score (50%). This is used by all public medical colleges in Pakistan.
MDCAT score is out of 210 and is converted to a percentage before applying the 50% weightage.
PMDC Pakistan Medical & Dental CouncilMinimum eligibility: 60% in MDCAT (126/210), 65% in FSc, and valid CNIC. Without 60% in MDCAT, students cannot apply to any HEC-recognized medical college.
The 60% MDCAT cutoff translates to 126 marks out of 210.
PMDC Regulations 2023KEMU Lahore typically has the highest merit cutoff in Punjab at 90%+ aggregate. National merit ranks above 4,000 generally ensure admission in a public medical college somewhere in Pakistan.
Approximately 24,000 MBBS seats are available in Pakistan. Around 200,000 students appear in MDCAT annually.
HEC Pakistan & PMDC Statistics 2024MDCAT Aggregate = (Matric % × 0.10) + (FSc % × 0.40) + (MDCAT Score ÷ 210 × 100 × 0.50). For example: Matric 90%, FSc 85%, MDCAT 160/210 → Aggregate = 9 + 34 + 38.1 = 81.1%.
You need at least 60% (126/210) in MDCAT to be eligible. For top public colleges like KEMU, you typically need 90%+ aggregate. For most public colleges, 85%+ aggregate is sufficient.
MDCAT carries 50% weight while FSc carries 40%. So MDCAT is slightly more important, but a strong FSc (90%+) combined with a good MDCAT score gives the best aggregate.
