Calculate your medical college merit using the official PMDC formula. Instant results for KEMU, Dow Medical, FJMU & 20+ Pakistani medical universities.
Formula: Matric (10%) + FSc (40%) + MDCAT (50%)
The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) standardized the MDCAT aggregate formula for all public medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. The formula is:
Aggregate = (Matric Marks ÷ Total Matric Marks × 100 × 0.10)
+ (FSc Marks ÷ Total FSc Marks × 100 × 0.40)
+ (MDCAT Marks ÷ 200 × 100 × 0.50)Example: Matric 1050/1100 + FSc 980/1100 + MDCAT 160/200 = (95.45 × 0.10) + (89.09 × 0.40) + (80 × 0.50) = 9.55 + 35.64 + 40.00 = 85.19%
All public medical colleges use the same PMDC formula. Closing merit varies by seat availability, province, and applicant pool. Below are approximate thresholds from previous admissions cycles — always verify with official merit lists.

Students must score at least 55% (110 out of 200) in MDCAT 2026 to qualify for medical admissions as per PMC regulations.
Most public medical colleges follow the PMC standard formula. Aga Khan University uses its own entrance test. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa universities use ETEA instead of MDCAT.
No. AKU uses its own admission test (AKUEB) and does not accept MDCAT scores. AKU admissions are completely separate from the public medical college system.
MDCAT (Medical and Dental College Admission Test) is for MBBS/BDS programs. ECAT (Engineering College Admission Test) is conducted by UET for engineering programs. They are separate tests with different aggregate formulas.
