Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

1. Ownership of Content

Such content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws of Pakistan, including but not limited to the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 (as amended) and international treaties.

2. User-Generated Content

Users may upload or share content ("User Content") such as notes, documents, comments, or links.

• Users retain ownership of their intellectual property rights in User Content. However, by uploading such content, you grant CampusAxis a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute the content on the Website.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.

3. Prohibited Content

Users may not upload, share, or distribute content that:

• Infringes on copyright, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets.
• Violates another person's privacy or publicity rights.
• Contains plagiarism or unauthorized academic material belonging to COMSATS University or any third-party institution.
• Is unlawful under the laws of Pakistan.

4. Reporting Intellectual Property Infringement

If you believe that your intellectual property rights have been infringed on the Website, you may submit a notice with the following information:

• A description of the copyrighted work or IP you claim has been infringed.
• The URL or location on the Website where the alleged infringement occurs.
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized.

5. Removal of Infringing Content

Upon receipt of a valid infringement notice, CampusAxis may remove or restrict access to the allegedly infringing content. Repeat infringers may have their accounts suspended or permanently terminated.

6. Counter-Notice

If your content has been removed due to an infringement claim, and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may submit a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include sufficient evidence that you are the rightful owner or have the right to use the material.

7. No Academic Liability

CampusAxis does not claim ownership over any COMSATS University or other institutional course material, notes, or resources. Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with institutional policies, fair use principles, and Pakistan's copyright laws when sharing academic content.

8. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the intellectual property laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Copyright Ordinance, 1962 (as amended).
