Ms. Arooj Rana, Lecturer

Email: Ms. Arooj Rana is serving as a Lecturer at the Department of English. She also holds the position of Deputy Director Academics, QAU. Arooj has secured Gold Medal in her M.Phil. Linguistics and Literature from Air University, Islamabad in 2019. She has also worked as English Language Instructor at Access Program by RELO, Pakistan. She presented her research on Emojification of Language at Purdue University, USA. Moreover, she is a Google Certified Educator and Certified Teachers Trainer by University of Oregon, USA. Her research interests include Applied linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Cultural and Language Studies, Critical Discourse Analysis, ESP, EAP, English as Second language and Corpus linguistics. She has recently been awarded with the prestigious ‘University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship’ to pursue her PhD at the University of Auckland, Newzealand. · English Faculty
