Content Moderation & Acceptable Use Policy

1. General Principles

• Users must use the Platform in a lawful, ethical, and respectful manner.
• Any misuse of the Platform that harms, intimidates, or violates the rights of others is strictly prohibited.
• We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any content that violates this Policy.

2. Prohibited Uses

Users may not use the Platform for the following activities:

a. Illegal or Harmful Activities

• Violating any laws or regulations of Pakistan.
• Promoting terrorism, extremism, hate speech, or violence.
• Engaging in fraud, impersonation, or identity theft.

b. Academic Misconduct

• Uploading, distributing, or promoting plagiarized content.
• Sharing restricted or proprietary academic materials belonging to COMSATS University or other institutions without permission.
• Encouraging cheating, exam leaks, or unethical academic behavior.

c. Security & Technical Abuse

• Attempting to hack, exploit, or disrupt the Website or its servers.
• Uploading malicious code, malware, or phishing content.
• Overloading the system with automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers).

d. Harassment & Abuse

• Posting defamatory, abusive, or offensive remarks targeting individuals or institutions (including COMSATS faculty, staff, or students).
• Engaging in cyberbullying, threats, or intimidation.
• Violating the privacy or confidentiality of others.

3. Content Moderation

All content submitted by Users is subject to review and moderation. We reserve the right to:

• Remove or restrict access to content violating this Policy.
• Suspend or terminate accounts engaged in repeated or severe violations.

Moderation decisions are final and at the sole discretion of CampusAxis.

4. Reporting Violations

If you believe a User has violated this Policy, you may report it to us by providing:

• The specific content or behavior in question.
• The URL or location of the violation.
• Supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots).

5. Liability of Users

Users are solely responsible for the content they upload, share, or publish on the Platform. CampusAxis disclaims all liability for User-generated content.

6. Enforcement

Violations of this Policy may result in:

• Content removal.
• Temporary suspension of access.
• Permanent account termination.
• Reporting to relevant authorities if the violation involves unlawful activity.

7. No Institutional Affiliation

CampusAxis is an independent project and is not officially affiliated with COMSATS University or any other institution. Content moderation decisions are independent of university policies and are based solely on this Policy and applicable laws.

8. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), 2016, and related regulations.
